A few days before their engagement session, Kristen and Mark emailed us and requested a change of plans — instead of shooting in the city, they wanted to have their engagement photos taken on a sailboat that they just bought. David and I said to ourselves, “OMG yes please!!!” We’ve always wanted to shoot some romantic and fun photos on the water, and a sailboat is such an ideal spot! The water at the Coyote Point Marina was calm and serene, the weather was clear, and the sun was golden. Kristen and Mark couldn’t have picked a better spot, and more importantly, they as a couple turned this session into perfection! This is a love story about a French girl and an American boy who met in Japan and have been in love ever since. Lucile and Michael’s modern travel-themed wedding was held at CuriOdyssey, witnessed and blessed by their family and friends from all around the world. They have put so much effort into the details – Lucile handmade ALL of the origami bouquets, boutonnieres, guest favors, and the centerpieces herself, and they incorporated French, American, and Japanese culture seamlessly into their wedding. Oh, and the tie that Michael wore was made of a piece of fabric from Lucile’s wedding dress! I was in full candid mode for the entire wedding because M&L really wanted organic moments of their special day. So I promise you, there is not a single posed photo here. Kristin and Brian are two dog lovers like us! Their three little pups didn’t come to our photo shoot because of the garden restrictions 🙁 We shot these photos at the Japanese Tea Garden where Brian took Kristin for their first date! And we can just tell how sweet they are together — Brian took really good care of Kristin for the entire session and even carried her in his arms over rocky paths. Congrats you two and we cannot wait for your July wedding!!

These two lovebirds met in Kansas and later came all the way to California to begin a new journey in their lives. Since they love watching baseball games, we thought we’d bring them to a baseball field and shoot some fun photos there. Congratulations to Ellen & Isaac on your new chapter together!
